The Divisions have been compiled from last year's Round 4 placements and, in the case of new players, their input of expert/intermediate/beginner.
If, after playing your first TWO matches, your results indicate that you may be in the wrong division, please let the committee know the score of both matches and who you played.
We will evaluate the results and make adjustments. Please make the request for round movement before the end of Round 1.
After Round 1, all movements will be based on the defined promotion criteria (see the rules for details).

For this league, a match is considered to be the number of games played in 1 hour. The winner of a match is the first to reach 10 wins in the hour. If after an hour, no one has won 10 games, the winner is the player with the most games won. A match is considered a Draw, if each player won the same number of games, after the 1 hour of play.

The winner of each game is expected to enter their score on this site, using the 'My Games' menu.
Note: for each round, the system will only record the results of one match played between the same players.
We recommend that you review the scores on-line before updating. In the event of a discrepancy, the 2 players should work together to resolve the issue and come to a mutually acceptable solution. It is the winner's responsibility to enter the scores.

To book a court

  1. Click the menu
  2. A calendar of up to 2 weeks will be displayed
  3. Select the day that you are interested in and the list of courts and times for that day will be displayed
  4. Select the court from the Court Numbers on the left and time that you would like to book and click the [Book Court] button
  5. The home page shows your court bookings.

You do. You schedule courts when it is convenient to you and invite players in your division using the contact information provided. If you did not get a match, please delete your booking at least 24 hours prior, to allow other members the opportunity to use the court.

You would not be allowed to select more than 2 courts between 4p.m - 8p.m. in any 1-week period. BUt you can book as many as are available outside that time

The rec ground is staffed, and the clubhouse is open 7 days a week 12pm-Dusk on Weekdays, 8:00 am – dusk on Saturdays and Sundays.
Due to the size of the league this year, we are asking that people limit themselves to making two court bookings per week. If you do have trouble getting one of the Canada Life courts, feel free to play elsewhere and simply report the results online.

  1. A kind and equitable scoring system (match winner gets 3 points + number of games won; loser gets 1 point + number of games won; this way you get credit for the games you win even though you may not win the match)!
  2. The top two players (based on total number of points for the round) in each division, in each round will move up to the next higher division).
  3. The top players with the lowest scores (based on total number of points for the round) in each division, in each round will move down to the next division).
